YUM! Brands, owners of the KFC brand in Africa, have recently appointed GAAP Point of Sale the exclusive POS supplier to KFC restaurants in Africa.
GAAP and KFC enjoy a relationship going back many years and GAAP software is already deployed into 40% of the KFC sites in South Africa as well as in a number of countries throughout Africa. Following a robust due-diligence process, the GAAP suite of software and services was identified as the choice for the group.
Chief Digital and Infrastructure Officer, Pieter Horne, explained that GAAP forms part of the technology mix that will provide KFC Africa with a competitive edge through enabling growth of their e-commerce layer, increasing productivity in the restaurants and provide better business intelligence to make informed decisions about their business.
GAAP Point of Sale is a leader in the hospitality technology sector in Africa.
We are proudly South African, with all software developed locally, giving GAAP a competitive advantage over other international POS products with quick response to changing local requirements, software customization and integration to varied 3rd party solutions.
GAAP provides technology services to over 150 hospitality franchise groups in Africa, and thousands of independently owned restaurants. There is an extensive branch network around South Africa, as well as a network of agents in multiple African countries. Besides POS and back office software, GAAP also provides solutions and services for drive-through outlets as well as digital menu board solutions, labour management, customer communication solutions and more
“We are proud to build on our relationship with a world-leading brand in fast food,” said MD, Jean-Paul d’Abbadie. “It’s very gratifying for a South African software business to be shown this level of confidence by an international brand like KFC and it’s a testament to the hard work and dedication of the large GAAP team around South Africa that we beat out international competition to secure this contract. We look forward to working closely with KFC to complete the rollout into all 1100 sites around Africa and to partnering with them as they continue expanding in Africa.”-MD, Jean-Paul d’Abbadie.
